2007 Petite Sirah ($37)

...from The WINE ENTHUSIAST:
90 POINTS The 2007 BV 'Petty Sarah' is almost identical to the 2006
vintage. It has finesse, complexity, lush fruit, multifaceted aromas
and soft tannins. The wine was fermented for 16 days in small bins and French oak barrels with Native or Wild Yeast. This Petite Sirah was then aged in new French and American oak barrels for 15 months.

2006 Petite Sirah ($43)

...from The WINE ENTHUSIAST:
93 POINTS This is a very Cabernet-like Petite Sirah. It’s full-bodied, dry and balanced, with moderate alcohol and not a huge amount of over-extracted fruit. Enriched with 50% new oak it has rich flavors of cassis Cherries, cocoa and pepper, in a fleshy texture. Highly recommended.

2005 Maxine’s Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon, Yountville Appellation ($60)

...from The WINE ENTHUSIAST:
87 POINTS Rich and flavorful, this Cabernet has jammy flavors of cassis, cherries, milk chocolate, licorice and vanilla. The wine is almost sweet and very soft in structure, the kind of Cab that adheres to today’s cult parameters. Drink now through 2010. Recommended.

...from The San Francisco Chronicle:
Tom Bardessono's family has been growing grapes in Yountville for decades, and this vineyard is named for his mother, who still resides there. Lots of big, ripe fruit, with an inviting nose highlighted by cocoa, graphite and dust. Lighter cassis and deeper plummy notes provide a full palate defined by equally ripe tannin. Subtle for its notably deep-fruited style.
